CURRENTLY SEEKING:

Director of Education - Part Time

First Folio is seeking a part-time Director of Education.  We are looking for someone with a theatre background, who also has an educational perspective and experience. This person will be creating/developing a whole department eventually, so they need to know how to implement classes, train teaching-artists, market touring shows and set up residencies. It will start part-time, and then become self sustaining - you must be organized, a self-starter, creative and good with people.  After training, most work will be out of your home, except for one-two days a week, which will be spent in the office coordinating with the Artistic Director or training/rehearsing with actors.  Small monthly stipend (tbd) plus booking fees to start.  Please email your resume to:

firstfolio@firstfolio.org       Attn: Director of Education

OR snail mail:

146 Juliet Ct, Clarendon Hills, IL 60514

DO NOT MAIL TO THE FOREST PRESERVE IN OAK BROOK, please!

Interviews begin in December.

Design for Living Apprentices

First Folio Theatre is seeking applications for three apprentice positions for their upcoming production of Noel Coward’s Design for Living. The apprentices will have

onstage roles and thus be eligible for EMC points. Seeking two men 20’s-30’s and one woman 30's - 40’s.

Apprentices understudy the main roles and also have backstage and set building responsibilities. Please do NOT apply for these positions if you are not willing to do

what is asked of you with a good attitude. Much of the understudy work will be done on your own, so we are seeking actors who are motivated, self-starters.

Small weekly stipend paid. There is NO public transportation convenient to our theatre in Oak Brook, so your own transportation is preferable.

Production dates are:            First rehearsal –1/5/09            Opens –1/31/09            Close –3/1/09

Rehearsals will be weekday evenings and weekend days.

If interested, please send headshot and resume to:  firstfolio@firstfolio.org

Please type “Design Apprentice” in the subject line.

Be sure that your resume is in Word or PDF format and your headshot is a JPG or PDF file. Also, be sure that your full contact information is on the resume.

NO phone calls please – we will contact you if we feel you fit one of the roles
