Telling Tales: Grades 3-5

Dates offered: July 12-16
9 am – 12 pm Monday through Friday.

Location: Mayslake Estate in DuPage County

Description: Let your imagination take flight! Learn how to use your body, voice and imagination to act out some of your favorite stories. Spend a fun filled week playing theatre games and participating in storytelling activities, all leading to the creation of a short, informal performance based on a classic story.

Cost: $250.00 per student

Rhymes and Ravens: Grades 6-8

1 Dates offered: July 19-23
9 am - 12 pm Monday through Friday.

Location: Mayslake Estate in DuPage County

Description: This weeklong class will use theatre games and exercises to build communication skills while exploring the work of Edgar Allen Poe! Participants will develop a short performance based on a classic short story that will be performed for family and friends on the final day of the program.

Cost: $250.00 per student

Master Class for Young Actors: Grades 9-12

Dates offered: August 2-6
9 am – 12 pm Monday through Friday.

Location: Mayslake Estate in DuPage County

Description: This fast paced, weeklong program will introduce participants to the history and language of the William Shakespeare! Focusing on “Twelfth Night,” students will learn about the Bard while they explore scenes and monologues from one of his most popular comedies. This program is perfect for students who already have an interest in theatre and are ready to take the next step. Students will present what they’ve been working on to friends and family on the final day. As an added bonus, participants will receive one ticket to First Folio’s summer production of “Twelfth Night.”
